Not Human Subjects Research (NHSR)

A project that does not meet the definition of human subject and/or research. Examples of NHSR: off-label use of a drugs or a biologic as part of usual clinical care, case reports, Quality Improvement (QI) activities that implement known intervention and that do not use research methodologies are not considered research. Secondary data analysis of fully de-identified data is research, but there are no human subjects.
