Biospecimen

Also referred to as a biological specimen or specimen, a biospecimen in the context of Human Subjects Research (HSR) any natural material from the human body, such as tissue, blood, and urine. Biospecimens are usually obtained during a diagnostic test or a procedure, such as surgery.
