Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP)

A non-profit accrediting body that promotes ethical research through processes that help organizations to evaluate and strengthen their human research protection programs. AAHRPP’s Accreditation Standards meet or exceed U.S. federal regulatory requirements and the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) — Good Clinical Practice (E6) guideline for protection and are representative of current best practices. UNC-Chapel Hill’s Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) has full AAHRPP accreditation.
