Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

The federal agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) that enforces the Food, Drug and Cosmetics Act. The FDA is responsible for reviewing, approving, and regulating food, drugs, biologic(s), medical devices, electronic products that give off radiation, cosmetics, veterinary products, and tobacco products. The FDA oversees clinical investigation(s) that support applications for research or marketing permits for products regulated by the FDA. FDA: What does FDA regulate?
